Give Back to Canton
Many of us who grew up in Canton, or moved here later in life, have a special affinity for this community. Perhaps it was an inspiring teacher; or success in sports, drama, or music; or perhaps fond memories of the Sugar Bowl, Billy's or the Canton Club; or maybe all the small-town advantages. Whatever the reason, we have a warm spot in our hearts for Canton and for what this part of the North Country has meant to us.
During recent years, many projects have been
undertaken to benefit the Canton area: the Pavilion, the playground at the high
school, the fountain in the park, Main Street Historical District restorations,
the historic
murals, Victorian street lamps, the recreational path around Partridge Run Golf Course and tree
planting on village streets.
These projects were successful because individuals and
organizations contributed unselfishly of their time and money, and of this we can be
proud. We know that the future will be new and equally desirable projects for the
betterment of Canton, and we wish to provide for them.
The Canton Community Fund has been established to
receive gifts form individuals wanting to express their gratitude for what Canton has meant
to them. Donations to Canton fund will enable them to give back to Canton and
ensure that Canton remains an attractive and vibrant place to live and work
The Canton Fund will assist individuals and organizations in developing projects considered worthy of support by the Fund's Board of Directors. These projects might include:
Community Beautification
Historic Preservation
Heritage Awareness
Culture and the Arts
Education
Recreation
Human Services
Programs for

to the Canton Fund are tax-deductible and may be made during the donor's
lifetime or by bequest in a will. Life income gifts may be arranged as well, to
